Choosing a wedding cake can be one of the more important decisions to make when you are planning your wedding. I am here to help make the decision as stress free and easy as possible. Whether you prefer a classic style or striking colourful shapes each cake is created to your unique style and taste. All cakes are made fresh with high quality ingredients and finished to a perfecting standard. Because of this, numbers of wedding cakes are limited per week so that the proper care and attention can be given to each design. I also specialise in sugar flowers for cakes and French patisserie to finish off your dessert table with an elegant flair.
It is recommended that you reserve your date at least 12 months in advance. Many popular dates such as weekends in summer book early so it is never too early to reserve your date. Once you have booked your venue, get in touch and I can check availability for your date and based on numbers and location can give you an estimated quote. A £100 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your date. This is usually done before final design is decided and ensures you have a booking in my diary. The deposit goes towards final price of the cake.
Once you have paid a deposit and reserved your date you can move back to planning the rest of your wedding. Six to eight months before your wedding it is suggested to book a final design consultation. By this time colour scheme, theme and flowers have usually been chosen and help with the planning of your cake. The consultation can be done via video call or an in person meeting. It is a great opportunity to bring samples, colour swatches or inspiration boards and discuss the final details of your special day. After your consultation a final quote will be provided and a sketch of your cake if requested.
Final payment for your wedding cake is due 4 weeks prior to your event. This will be the last chance to make any changes to the design or flavour of your cake. On your wedding day I will deliver and set up your cake at your venue for an integrated cost of £25 within a 20 mile radius of Dalrymple. Every mile past the 20 mile radius will be charged at 30p per mile and charged as a round trip.
